N° 12–2021: Call for media: Q&A with ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet

Media representatives are invited to a virtual Q&A session with ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet a few days before his launch, to learn more about his second International Space Station mission.

Registered journalists will be able to ask questions to Thomas Pesquet, during a live Q&A session on Monday 19 April, from 14:30 to 15:00 (CEST).

Thomas is set to launch on 22 April at 12:11 (CEST): he will be the first ESA astronaut to fly on a SpaceX Crew Dragon, that will be launched on a Falcon 9 rocket from Florida, USA. He will accompany NASA astronauts Shane Kimbrough and Megan McArthur and JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) astronaut Akihiko Hoshide.

In collaboration with the French space agency CNES, the launch on 22 April will be streamed live with commentary in French and English, and will be broadcast on ESA Web TV. The crew’s docking with the Harmony module of the International Space Station is currently scheduled for Friday 23 April at 11:30 (CEST).
