Introducción
El tiempo juega un importante papel en todos los aspectos de la vida diaria en Europa. Se hace un uso generalizado de las imágenes de satélites meteorológicos, que aparecen en muchos medios de comunicación. El estudio de las imágenes del tiempo actual aportan una nueva dimensión a la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de la meteorología en el aula.
The aim of this section is to stimulate students and teachers to look at the meteorology images and find out everything they can about the weather in the region they live in. Schools are invited to work with this data using the suggestions given in the projects. The case studies provided should be used as guidance and inspiration. You will find both still and moving Meteosat sequences, providing a spectacular demonstration of day-to-day and seasonal weather.
One of the case studies provided focuses on the Asian Summer Monsoon, which plays a decisive role in the life of millions. Manual and software-assisted exercises bring the Monsoon floods right into your classroom.
