Technology Box

Technology Box, or TetrISS, is a technology demonstrator that will show the work of Ernst Chladni in space. Chladni figures visually display acoustic waves on vibration plates in fine particles. In space, the sound waves will move to create three-dimensional structures.

This experiment is part of ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet's Alpha mission on the International Space Station. It is part of an educational activity for France's space agency CNES that will encourage the study of science, technology, engineering and mathematics among the next generation of explorers and also promote a healthy lifestyle through sports.
