The following schedule gives an overview of the flight opportunities in a typical year of operation.

This schedule is based on the existing cycle of two manned Soyuz and three unmanned Progress flights per year. This schedule will change as soon as the Space Shuttle returns to flight and the European Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) starts operations.

For launch with the Progress, the tested payload has to be available three months prior to the launch date.

For launch with the Soyuz, the tested payload has to be available two months prior to the launch date.
