- Description
Following a two-year investigation into meteorite material originating from the planet Mars, NASA scientists were able to produce results alluding to the possibility that primitive life may have existed on the Red Planet more than 3.6 billion years ago. This was based on them finding organic molecules and minerals characteristic of biological activity, along with suspected microscopic fossils.
