The STS-84 Atlantis mission was launched on May 15th 1997. The American shuttle Atlantis carried out the sixth docking with the Russian space station Mir, exchanging crew members, delivering supplies and testing new technologies. ESA astronaut Jean-Francois Clervoy made his second trip into space.
