A LOOK INTO THE FUTURE. WHAT'S COMING NEXT? Three missions currently under study are presented in this news update. These are LISA, a laser interferometer in space to look for gravitational waves; XEUS, an X-ray telescope to be mounted on the International Space Station, which would follow XMM; and DARWIN, a mission to discover planets in other solar systems.
