This video outlines the many uses of satellite data ranging from building models, maps, 3-D views, composites, and forecasts. Used in these ways, scientists are able to track ocean currents, storms, forest fires, droughts, determine sea surface levels and temperature, map oceans on the sea floor, understand the makeup of hurricanes, predict weather and ozone recovery and examine the impact of El Ninos.
