Nobody knows exactly what the surface of a cometary nucleus looks like. For the first time in nearly a quarter century, ESA's cometary mission Rosetta will bring new information on this missing link in cometary research. Rosetta will have an orbiter and a lander will be placed directly on the comets surface. Once the landing is done, the work begins for 10 different scientific instruments.

So the first thing we do is: we ""anchor"". We shoot a harpoon into the ice of the comet corps and we pull our self, tight to the surface. Then of course, we look around. Nobody has seen that before. We have cameras all around the lander body. We get a panorama picture of the environment and we transmit it to ground.
