2003 promises to be a very busy year for ESA. No less than three European astronauts will travel to the International Space Station, and apart from that ESA will be involved in many other launches and experiments throughout the year.

In January 2003, the STS-107 Space Shuttle Mission will carry a large European microgravity payload. On board the Shuttle this will be used in various experiments

During their 16 day stay in space, the international crew will perform various ESA experiments, including seven biological experiments on changes in the human body.
