Live action recordings of the final preparations of Mars Express in Baikonur before its successful launch on board a Soyuz -Fregat launcher from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, on the 02 June 2003.
This is the first of seven tapes filmed by a Louch camerman during the period of the 15 May to 01 June 2003. They begin with the mating of Mars Express with the fregat part of the launcher, they include final preps and launcher integration and finish with the roll-out and erection of the launcher on the launch pad.
