Celebrating of completing ESA's first Earth Explorer, GOCE
      ESA TV Exchanges
On 19 July, the assembly of GOCE, one of ESA's Earth Explorer missions, was completed. GOCE will measure the Earth's geoid and also the dynamics of the ocean currents with unprecedented accuracy.
GOCE will now be thoroughly tested and then launched in 2008 from the Plessetsk Cosmodrome in Russia.
Today's Exchange includes images of the spacecraft, new 3-D CGI, and images and soundbites of a press event to celebrate the completion of the spacecraft assembly held in Torino (Italy) on 19 July.

      10:00:40 A-Roll
In the northern Italian town of Turin on the 19 July, scientists and engineers from the European Space Agency held a press conference to celebrate the completion of a new satellite. But why so much fuss? Because this satellite, the Gravity field and steady-state Ocean Circulation Explorer Referred to as ëGo-cheí by ESA engineers, is set to answer some of the questions about one of todayís hottest topics, climate change.
10:01:12 After 6 years in development, the instrumentation carried on board GOCE, the satellite set to become the worldís most accurate means of measuring gravity, was on show in Italy at Thales Alenia Space, the company thatís co-ordinated the project to date. (images of turin, press conference clapping etc., then images of satellite in clean room)
10:01:27 GOCE, with its streamlined, aerodynamic structure, is the Ferrari of the satellite world when it comes to looks. But itís
