- Description
ESA astronaut Andreas Mogensen has been assigned a long-duration mission aboard the International Space Station and is expected to fly as the pilot of a SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft in mid 2023 or early 2024.
This will be the second mission for Andreas, who spent 10 days in orbit for his Iriss mission in 2015. He is the first Danish citizen to fly to space and will be the first non-US astronaut to pilot a Crew Dragon spacecraft.
Andreas has been assigned as backup pilot for Crew-6 and prime for Crew-7. He is currently training alongside his NASA colleagues, in preparation for the journey as well as the science and operations he will support on board.
