The Aeolus scientific community gathered in Taormina, Sicily, which very aptly lies just south of the Aeolian Islands named after the very same ‘keeper of the winds’, and under Mount Etna, a volcano whose plumes can be better modelled thanks to the assimilation of Aeolus data.
