In May 2001, having finished its testing at ESTEC, the Envisat satellite began was packed up and began its journey to French Guayana in preparation for its launch on Ariane 5. The satellite had to be split and transported in two large containers: a Payload Module container and a Service Module container. The satellite was shipped to Kourou, the European Space Port in French Guyana, on 15 May on Board an Antonov 124.
These rushes were filmed upon Enivsats arrival in Kourou's Integration Hall and feature the unpacking of the Pay Load Module (PLM) from its crate. The action was filmed with a fixed camera and the footage carries clean international sound.10:00:00 PLM in crate in cleanroom of Integration Hall
