    • Description

The third programme in a series of four about satellite navigation. This programme looks at satellite navigation in the car and how it is being developed in places such as Wetzlar in Germany. It investigates how the quality of a journey is improved by having these built in satellite navigation systems in the car, and how they can help in finding the way round a completely unknown location.
The 5 minute A-roll, complemented by a longer B-roll, is the international version of the programme and only carries clean international sound.

0:21 Actuality Beate Wie§ner, VDO Marketing:
The trend in satellite navigation is extremely dynamic. We are assuming an annual market growth of 50%. 900,000 navigation systems were installed in cars in the year 2000. We estimate that 4,000,000 systems will be installed in cars by 2004.
      0:40 Commentary:

      0:58 Voiceover Alain Sarignac, Renault:
A car navigation system means you can relax completely at the wheel. You enter the destination, and you can be sure you'll reach it withou
