Berlin International Airshow (ILA)
ILA Berlin is the largest aerospace trade show in Germany.
Hosted at the Berlin ExpoCenter Airport in Schönefeld, it is organised biennially by BDLI (the German Trade Association of Aerospace Industries) and Messe Berlin. ILA’s original title stands for “Internationale Luftfahrtausstellung” which means "International Aeronautical Exhibiton" in German. Its origins date back to 1909, which makes this air show the pioneer of all aerospace shows.
At ILA it is possible to see the complete spectrum of technological advances in aviation and space exploration. The exhibition covers a vast array of aerospace sectors, including military and commercial aviation, defence, space technology, and aerial vehicles. The trade fair does not just showcase exhibits in technology, but also serves as platform for business networking and collaboration, where industry leaders, researchers, and government representatives can meet up to discuss and trace the future of the aerospace sector.
