ESA IT Strategy

The department has created several initiatives to optimise the use of its solutions, tools and platforms, and to provide a shared infrastructure. We strive to understand and serve our customers’ needs without compromising security, data protection, reliability and performance.

esait’s strategy is built around the following drivers:

• Put the customer in control of IT costs and support their IT transformation and evolution
• Increase adoption of shared infrastructure and the evolution of IT infrastructure
• Increase cyber-protection of ESA data, information and systems
• Efficiently provide an adequate choice of modern IT tools, minimising licencing risks
• Provide our workforce with a modern collaboration environment
• Increase digitalisation of processes and unlock the value of data
• Enable business-led digitalisation through through data- and information-management platforms

These drivers generate initiatives and multiyear roadmaps that are calibrated against budget and resource constraints and prioritised according to the Agency’s needs.
