The under side of the main experiment platform within the Descent Module, exposed for electromagnetic compatibility testing in the anechoic chamber. The five batteries (silver boxes) that must provide all the power during the descent mission after 7 years of dormancy can be seen, along with the large power conditioning and distribution unit. The lower portions of the ACP, GCMS and SSP instruments, each with a red protective cover over delicate sensors, are also located below the platform, allowing them to penetrate the forward dome for sensing the undisturbed atmosphere and, finally, Titan surface's in front of the descending Probe.
