Anchorage, Alaska - CHRIS image

Anchorage, the largest city of the state of Alaska in the United States, acquired 27 November 2003 by CHRIS. The body of water is called Knik Arm and to the right of it is Elmendorf Air Force Base, with downtown Anchorage beneath. Visible at bottom left of the image is the end of the runway of Anchorage International Airport.
