Aircraft carrying INDREX-2 radar equipment

A Dornier 228 aircraft from the German Aerospace Centre (DLR) will carry radar equipment at X-, C-, L- and P-band during the one-week Indonesian Radar Experiment (INDREX-2). The results will demonstrate how to use the capabilities of current satellite at C-band, and explore radar with longer wavelengths that can penetrate through the forest to see more detail and measure tree height.
