Gobi Desert

This Envisat image features the Gobi Desert, which stretches across vast areas of the Mongolian People's Republic and the Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region of China. Image acquired by Envisat’s Medium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (MERIS) instrument on 13 April 2008 working in Full Resolution mode to provide a spatial resolution of 300 metres.
