Stars and Earth seen from Space Station

ESA astronaut André Kuipers looks across the Earth at the stars from his vantage point on the International Space Station. A Russian Progress ferry is attached to the Station.

André is working on the orbital outpost for ESA's long-duration mission, PromISSe. He was launched with fellow crewmembers Don Petitt and Oleg Kononenko, from Baikonur, Kazakhstan, in December 2012.
