This colour-coded topographic view shows the relative heights of features in Cerberus Fossae: reds and whites are relatively higher than blues and purples (see key at top right for values).
The image is based on a digital terrain model of the region, from which the topography of the landscape can be derived. The reference body for the HRSC-DTM is a Mars sphere. ESA’s Mars Express imaged this region on 27 January 2018 during orbit 17813. The ground resolution is approximately 16 m/pixel and the image is centred at about 159°E/10°N.
