Sulphur dioxide

Based on measurements gathered by the Copernicus Sentinel-5P mission between November 2017 and July 2018, the map shows high concentrations of sulphur dioxide over the Persian Gulf and India. Sulphur dioxide, which mainly comes from industrial processes and motor vehicle emissions, can result in breathing problems and is a precursor to acid rain.
