SMILE antenna

The ESOC-1 ground terminal is located at ESA's mission control centre in Darmstadt, Germany, and is part of the centre's Special Mission Infrastructure Lab Environment (SMILE) lab facility. Under the white dome, seen here, is a 3.5 m-diameter antenna that can transmit commands to satellites and receive their data and signals.
