MTG-I1 being placed in its container for shipment

After months of preparation at Thales Alenia Space’s facilities in Cannes where Europe’s first Meteosat Third Generation satellite underwent final testing, it was placed in a container to be shipped across the Atlantic to the launch site in French Guiana.
