The Islands of Four Mountains in the Aleutian archipelago from the International Space Station on 20 October 2023 by ESA astronaut Andreas Mogensen. When Andreas shared the picture on social media, he said:
"I like how the clouds flow between the volcanoes of the Islands of Four Mountains in the Aleutian archipelago. This is Tana, Cleveland, Carlisle and Herbert islands. They are a part of Alaska, USA, and are located in the tail of Alaska in the Pacific Ring of Fire, which is the name for the ring of volcanoes that surround the Pacific Ocean. The four islands have almost no trees, and is home to mostly seabirds and seals, while the waters around have visiting orcas.
You see so many interesting phenomena from up here."
