Go to topicOn Saturday 29 June, ESA's very first open day at its European Centre for Space Applications and Telecommunications (ECSAT) took visitors on a journey through ECSAT's activities. During the open day, interns from ECSAT’s Vulcan Facility presented an exhibit about rocks on the Moon and Mars – and how experts can recreate them on Earth to test exploration technologies.
The ESA open day at ECSAT formed part of the campus-wide Harwell open week, which took place from 24 to 29 June.
