Student teams across ESA member states are invited to submit plans for remote-controlled robots that will be tested on a mock-up of the International Space Station. Their mission: to unload cargo from one part of the ISS to another as quickly as possible while avoiding objects.
Students at "ground control" will give instructions wirelessly from the control centre next door. A two-day final event in December 2015 will be the culmination of lots of hard work from the successful teams of middle and high-school students. The highlight for many students will no doubt be meeting Andreas Mogensen himself after his mission.
