Who can participate?

The target communities for the Alcantara initiative includes leading European academic research groups and departments with a proven capacity in conducting research on topics with an international reach, and a demonstrated track record in working with entities beyond ESA Member States. For Pilot Studies, these groups will be requested to provide evidence by submitting a certificate of affiliation from relevant units in academic or research institutions outside the Agency's Member States.

Joint proposals, where Study Teams comprise members from different departments, universities, and research institutes will be allowed and encouraged (always with a proof of interest by entities based outside ESA Member States).
