ESA held a two-day industry workshop to discuss technologies for the proposed AIM mission. The workshop was well attended with about 80 registered participants on-site and 15 more people joining in via web-conference facilities. The main objective of the workshop was to discuss platform technologies at system and subsystem level compatible with a 2020 launch date as well as additional technology opportunities for which AIM could provide a flight demonstration.

All presentations are available for download on the workshop’s website.

AIM is currently in phase B1. The implementation phase (B2CDE) is being prepared as part of an optional program with additional contributions. The workshop also discussed the project's status and way forward and a status report on the NASA Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) mission.
