- Description
GMV is testing the soft-docking capability of the ASSIST Pro inter-satellite docking system. The interface is based on the probe-and-drogue concept, which contains a pantograph that expands once the probe is inside the cavity of the of the target spacecraft. This docking system is tested by launching the MANTIS floating platform into an equally free-floating REACSA at ESA's Orbital Robotics Laboratory. The performance of the ASSIST Pro system was characterised doing over 300 tests.
