Multipath in urban canyons

Reflected satellite navigation signals - known as 'multipath' - can degrade positioning performance, especially in urban canyons with plenty of artificial surfaces to bounce satnav signals off them. The Galileo signal is more resistant to multipath and reduces associated errors by a factor of three to five.
