ESEO is alive and kicking!

The ESEO Mission Control Centre managed by students of the University of Bologna, Italy has just confirmed the acquisition of the first signal from ESEO. The satellite which was inactive during launch, activated itself just after separation from the launch carrier and started transmitting at 22:21 CET. A first assessment of the ESEO telemetry seems to show nominal parameters, but the details will become available in the next hours.
