Looking forward to Gamescom

Excitement is building as ESA gets ready to return to Gamescom from 23 to 27 August 2023. Gamescom is an unmissable event in the calendar of video game fans, developers and publishers alike. It’s where new video games get their world premieres, and the latest in video game technology goes on show.

Last year, Gamescom 2022 was hugely successful. Visitors to the ESA zone could directly experience the links between space technology and video games and the event proved to be a starting point for new collaborations between ESA and gaming companies across all genres.

Gamescom 2023 sees ESA taking partnerships within the video games industry to the next level, including new cooperations with the world’s leading game developers and publishers.

This year, the ESA zone will not only provide a showcase for previous tie-ins, but also act as the focus of all ESA’s activities in the gaming industry. This includes hands-on demonstrations of gaming technology being used to train the next generation of astronauts; the chance to talk to ESA employees about careers in the Agency as well as the focus for future gaming projects and collaborations.
