Envisat / Polar Platform thermal/vacuum test

Polar Platform Service Module flight model inside ESTEC's Large Space Simulator in its test configuration, installed on a gimbal stand with a spin box. The SM is illuminated at low power with the Sun simulator. The picture was taken before closing the LSS chamber and starting the thermal balance/thermal vacuum qualification test, December 1996.
