This Envisat Advanced Synthetic Aperture Radar (ASAR) image, acquired on 19 April 2011, covers an area about 75 by 120 km over the Mato Gross region in Brazil and highlights large areas of forest clearcutting.
The image was obtained using ASAR’s Alternating Polarisation mode (with VV and VH polarisations). The complete image is available in MIRAVI:

Some MIRAVI images are very large (e.g. 50 MB). The browser and/or client computer may not be able to visualise such large images. To overcome this, save the image using the browser option "Save link as..." by right clicking on the links relative to the image (JPG or BMP). The image can then be opened locally using an image viewer.
