During his internship within the Spaceship EAC team, Sebastian Rohde worked on a method for extracting oxygen from lunar regolith, or moon dust, at ESA's Astronaut Centre in Cologne. This is a jar containing the ionic liquid used to dissolve lunar regolith simulant in an experimental setup to extract oxygen and other metals.
