Kathmandu - Worksheet introduction
We will be using many different satellite images showing the city's resources and development.
Download the file kathmandu.zip. Then save the images to your hard disk in a folder named 'Kathmandu'.
Some of the following exercises require the use of the LEOWorks software.
LEOWorks has been developed by ESA and can be downloaded here on the right.
ArcExplorer is a lightweight GIS data viewer developed by ESRI. This freely available software offers an easy way to perform basic GIS functions.
ArcExplorer is used for a variety of display, query, and data retrieval applications and supports a wide variety of standard data sources. It can be used on its own with local data sets or as a client for Internet data and map servers.
